Spring 2015 Fashion Trends
That 70s Look
Bohemia rules! And every day is #TBT (a “Throwback Thursday”) as designers like Saint Laurent embrace the retro 1970s as one of the most influential spring 2015 fashion trends.
Models sashayed down the runway in fanciful, bohemian ensembles boasting vibrant patchwork, peasant blouses, culottes and fringe.
As exotic as the 70s trend appears, don’t be afraid of boho-chic—it’s surprisingly easy to wear. Let Talitha Getty, Bianca Jagger, Lauren Hutton and “Annie Hall” inspire you to launch your own 70s revival.
Strap on some gladiator sandals, put on a maxi dress and accessorize with fun touches like a boho headband and armloads of funky, colorful bracelets. It’s an easy breezy look sure to be a hit at fairs and festivals!
Pack a colorful poncho, caftan or fringed vest for your next vacation, to be worn as a beach cover up or layered over a tank top, camisole or tee shirt dress.
It’s tempting to pile on too many 70s pieces at once, but that can be costumey. Ease into the trend by slipping into a chambray dress or denim skirt and adding a few boho touches here and there, like a fringed bag or beaded bracelets and necklaces.
However you choose to interpret that 70s look, have fun with the trend and such unfussy styles as flared jeans, floppy wide brimmed hats, crochet, tassels and platform shoes!
